The course furnishes a working knowledge of the different carving techniques for marble in order to offer each student the possibility of realizing forms in the manner most suitable to his or her work.

The school provides blocks of marble of various sizes and types. Participants can try two techniques: hand and air compressor, with specific tools (the "subbia" or broad-toothed chisel, other chisels and rasps). Use of the disk cutter is at the instructor's discretion.

Students can bring models (small size recommended).
